The point of the crash bar slider is in the name itself. In the unfortunate event that you have to use your crash bar the sliders job is to wear down as you slide or fall down instead of digging into the pavement as the steel would do. We offer an aluminum and delrin option, each has their own advantages and disadvantages. Delrin is a softer material that will allow the bike to slider smoother and further in the result of an accident. Aluminum is harder than delrin but softer than steel, they will last longer but transfer more energy to the crash bar when under stress as well as come to a stop sooner in a slide. In the bike world we do know it’s not always about performance, looks do come into play. Delrin is only available in a black finish where aluminum can be coated any custom colour or kept as in its natural state.
